When we evaluate potential hires, there are a few key attributes that impress our MAG-City Marketing hiring managers. Here are the traits we’re looking for when we meet with candidates to find the best possible cultural fits:
• Self-Awareness: We want to find people who understand that they have room to improve their skills. Being self-aware also means that a person has a strong idea of how his or her unique talents will help achieve big MAG-City Marketing goals. This requires in-depth research of our firm’s unique approach to on-site marketing.
• Ability to Solve Problems: Evidence of an agile mind-set is also something we want to see during every interview. This is a key trait because there are always new challenges in our rapidly evolving industry. Our hiring managers often share scenarios with potential hires to see how well they think on their feet.
• Communication Skills: Perhaps most importantly, we want to find people who can concisely explain why they’re great fits for our culture. It’s hard to overstate the value of strong communication skills in our line of work. It’s much easier for us to envision candidates as members of our team if they can effectively sell themselves.
